Steven Cutler, Group President of ICON discusses the launch of ICON's new acquisition of Firecrest at Partnerships in Clinical Trials 2012. Facing the continuing challenge of not only monitoring and auditing clinical research sites but also taking the time to thoroughly support sites in their training on protocols, the acquisition of Firecrest will allow ICON to better focus on the training of collecting data in a quality manner. The Firecrest software will allow ICON to train via an online system that trainss each site to truly understand the entire clinical research protocol for each trial including how the drug works and what steps need taken during patient enrollment and for each patient visit , helping each site improve their performance and patient recruitment.
Steven also highlights ICONIK, their new platform for viewing clinical trial data in real-time, reducing the cost of clinical trials.
ICON's announcements at Partnerships in Clinical Trials highlights the different ways they are strategically partnering with both sponsors as well as vendors.
