Bill Symonds, Pharm.D., left Big Pharma in 2014 to jump on the newly built biopharma rollercoaster called Roivant, parent company to, at one time, nearly two dozen startup therapeutic developers. The ride operator was none other than Roivant founder and current U.S. presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. As SVP of clinical research and, later, chief development officer, Symonds had a seat in the front car.
